This course will be a hands-on class on autonomous and self-driving database systems. It will cover state-of-the-art methods that leverage machine learning to automate the configuration, optimization, and management of databases. All class projects will be in the context of a real database system. The course is appropriate for graduate students in software systems and for advanced undergraduates with dirty systems programming skills.
